Food groups sent to the Philippines need to be checked before receiving:
Note: The above list is for consultation and inspection of items, not a confirmation that all items are allowed to be sent to the Philippines. Gia Phú checks according to receiving country, composition, quantity, sending purpose and documents before receiving goods.
Frequently requested items: confectionery, dried noodles and pho, tea, coffee and packaged spices. For food sent to Philippines, each product's ingredients and storage requirements must be checked.
Please note: personal-use and commercial goods have different requirements. Homemade products, meat or seafood products, fresh and frozen food need separate checks for permits, quarantine and storage; vacuum sealing does not replace these requirements.
Preparation: photos of labels and ingredients, expiry dates, quantity, weight and purpose. Keep packaging sealed and labels clear; advise us if refrigeration is required. Gia Phu checks these details before confirming a suitable air or sea route.
Frequently requested items: new clothing, footwear, handbags, hats and accessories; goods for family, samples or shop orders.
Please note: state whether items are new or used, their brands and purpose. Philippines prohibits commercial imports of used clothing; used personal effects require case-by-case checks and cannot be treated as new merchandise. Products made from particular animal skins also need separate review.
Preparation: product list, quantities, values and invoices if available. Protect against moisture and support the shape of shoes and bags; measure packages after packing. Lightweight but bulky items may affect chargeable weight.
Frequently requested items: lipstick, powder, creams, serum, shampoo and body wash. Check ingredients, volume and quantity for each product before sending cosmetics to Philippines.
Please note: perfume, alcohol-based products and aerosols require separate transport checks, especially for air freight. Personal-use goods have specific limits and conditions; commercial goods require checks of importer documentation and product registration with the Philippines FDA.
Preparation: photos of labels, ingredients, brand, volume per bottle and quantity; provide invoices, product documents or safety data sheets if requested. Retain original labels, seal containers, prevent leaks and add cushioning.
Frequently requested items: books, notebooks, school supplies, household items and gifts. Packages to Philippines may contain multiple items, but each type must be clearly declared.
Please note: marking goods as gifts does not replace declaring item names, quantities and values. Food, cosmetics, medicines or battery-powered equipment still require category-specific checks. Do not assume gifts are exempt from duties or permits.
Preparation: item lists by box, cargo photos and estimated values; provide the recipient's name, phone, full address and postcode. Wrap fragile items separately, secure them and discuss used items in advance.
Frequently requested items: phones, laptops, headphones, keyboards, cables and components. Acceptance depends on the device, its condition and the shipping method.
Please note: distinguish batteries installed in equipment, packed with equipment and shipped separately. Power banks are batteries, not battery-free accessories. Damaged or defective batteries that risk fire, heat or short circuits are prohibited in air transport, including when installed in equipment.
Preparation: device name, model, quantity, condition, value and battery specification photos (Wh, V, Ah if available). A UN 38.3 test summary may also be required. Follow packing instructions only after Gia Phu confirms acceptance.
Frequently requested items: furniture, shelving, household goods, machinery and multi-package shipments. Sea freight may suit large, non-urgent shipments; the specific option depends on the goods and delivery point.
Please note: declare materials, fragile parts, batteries, oil or liquids remaining in machinery. Natural wood pallets and crates must be checked for treatment and ISPM 15 marking requirements where applicable. Air and sea routes do not all use the same charging method.
Preparation: cargo photos, package count, weight and packed length × width × height; delivery address and unloading conditions. Discuss disassembly in advance to protect goods and reduce unused packing space.
This list identifies cargo categories and does not confirm acceptance. Requirements and documents are checked against the product, quantity, purpose and shipping route. View prohibited and restricted items.
